Singles and Young Marrieds Ministry

Ng Wee Keong, a Singaporean, attended River Valley High and Hwa Chong Junior College. He became a Christian in 1991 while studying at the National University of Singapore. He graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Upon graduation, he entered the full-time ministry and has been serving the church in many capacities since then. In 1999, he was appointed an Evangelist. Wee Keong also has a graduate certificate in Parent Education Leadership Training jointly awarded by Swinburne University, Australia, and the Family Resource Training Centre, Singapore. He has distinguished himself as a speaker for our English services but is also able to preach in Mandarin. Wee Keong enjoys running and cycling, and often competes in marathons.

Joyce, who was born in Malaysia, went to England to study as a Malaysian Government Scholar. She became a Christian in 1987 while studying in London, and graduated in 1990 with first class honours from City University, London, in Actuarial Science, and received the Murray-Johnstone Prize for best performance in University examinations. She returned to Asia and worked as a Senior Officer in the Insurance Commissioner’s Department of the Monetary Authority of Singapore for several years. In 1994, she took up the position of Regional Financial Administrator for the church. She subsequently went into the full time ministry in 1994 and was appointed a Women’s Ministry Leader in 1999. Joyce is also a certified Family Life Educator and specializes in giving talks about marriage and early childhood.

Wee Keong and Joyce were married in 1997 and have two energetic young boys. Throughout their years of service to the church, the Ngs have become known for being empathetic and relatable. They are currently leading the Single & Marrieds (SAM 1) Ministry of the Singapore church.
