Andrew, the second child of Kenneth, was baptised on 27 August. Zhi Zhong has been studying the bible and mentoring Andrew for two years and eight months. The qualities that we appreciate about Andrew is his humility to learn. During his bible study, he constantly asked questions and inquire about anything that he was not clear about. He made sure he had his own conviction and not rely on his parents’ faith. One of the most challenging thing that he had to overcome was learning to be open and vulnerable about his life. He took the challenge and courage and decided to open up. He said that he felt so free after he talked about all his struggles. This is to God’s glory and grace. We look forward to see Andrew grow to be an awesome disciple in the Youth Ministry.

27 June 2010 was a joyous day as we saw two of our teens, Xue Kai and Rebecca Fan, baptised. Xue Kai first started to study the bible seriously at the beginning of this year. The one thing that I appreciated about him is his seriousness about doing the right thing according to his conviction. Even before his baptism, he wanted to test his own repentance. He gave himself a 3 weeks period, while away from the fellowship in Singapore, during his holiday in Kuala Lumpur. He wanted to see if he would still be faithful and put Jesus first in his life even without the influence of his closest friends. He came back from his holiday and was baptised.

Rebecca Fan is the eldest daughter of our Chinese Ministry Evangelist. She had struggled with God for more than a year. There were many ups and downs. At times she would be very zealous for God but at times she would not be faithful. But through the perseverance of her parents and teen leaders, she learned to be humble and trusted God. For me, I appreciate her constant joy and her spark that she brings to the teens. She is always full of ideas of taking things higher and making our ministry more impacting and fun. To God be the glory to see her baptism.

May 28, the sisters surprised the brothers with a night of encouragement and appreciation. The room was beautifully decorated with candles and other deco. They called the night “You Are the Light of My Life”. We were invited into the dark filled room lighted only by candles and the smiles of the sisters. Then the night started off with some very fun and exciting games. A few sisters then shared how they appreciated the brothers for their hard work, friendship, and eagerness to serve. Most of all they appreciate the purity in their friendships. Then each of the brothers were given a light bulb with some inscriptions written on them. The light bulb signifies that they are the light of the sisters’ lives. We ended up with some awesome fellowship and food. The brothers were very grateful for the eventful night.

We are so happy to see Yao Hui's baptism. She will be our first baptism in our POLY ministry. She is the eldest daugther of Eileen. Eileen walked into our church last year, studied the bible, and was baptised in July 2010. Five months later her daughter, Yao Le, was baptised in November 2010. Today, mother and daughters were all brought into Christ. Amen.

These are the presentations shown during the Opening Ceremony of SEA Conference 2010, held in Jakarta, Indonesia. Over 5000 people attended the conference from many nations through South East Asia and their neighbouring countries. The opening was held at JITEC which was the convention centre in Jakarta. Brief explanations of each presentation are given below each video.

Indonesian Dream began in 1990 with a handful of faithful disciples who gave up their oversea dreams of pursuing wealth and return to the chaotic and impoverished Jakarta to pursue God's dream in saving Indonesians. From this handful, God blessed the dream and today, there are 21 vibrant and growing churches in Indonesia. Their dream is that in the next 20 years, God will multiply them with another 50 more new churches.

Sharing by different individuals:

1. Johnson - Because someone believed in him, he changed from someone who created a lot of troubles to a powerful leader of the Surabaya Church.

2. Semi - Single Mum. She was the third wife of a karaoke lounge owner, who later left them desolated. Without hope and financial security, God gave her hope through the church. Today she is part of the strong Ministry of Precious Women

3. Suwandi - In the year 2000, he was given the charge to lead the church in Medan. Fear overcame him. Can he do it? It was a difficult charge. After taking the leadership, many troubles and ills came to his life. His wife and child had health problems. Despite the severe sufferings, with the courage of God, both Awi and his wife are currently serving powerfully in the Medan Church. The Medan church became a model of faith for many believers.

4. Ana - She was from a very poor family. Despised by many, she felt very lonely. Yet in the church, she was gladly accepted, loved, and helped. With the strength of God, she is serving happily in the church.

5. Monica - she was one of the pioneers of the church. A dreamer who nearly lost her dreams. In the later years of her life, she encountered many financial and family challenges. But because of the love of God and the church, she crossed over and remains as one of the pillar of the church.

Let’s cross over and dream together with the Indonesian churches.

This is a live musical dance performance depicting man's fight with temptation and challenge. God was there when they needed it. And even though they fell again, God was still there to help them cross over and overcome.

The dance is a combination of traditional Indonesian and modern theme. The incredible thing is that this dance was performed mainly by members of the church who were amatuers.

Yanni, one of our women teen leader, brother, Dimas, was baptised on 17 April 2010 in Jakarta. It was an awesome day as there were 28 people who were baptised at the SEA Conference. Almost 2 years ago, Yanni's sister, Yanti, was also baptised in Singapore. We rejoice with Yanni and her family.

Our youth ministry had their bible talk at different location including this one at Bedok Reservoir where we had kayaking for our fun time. Theother bible talks were at Sentosa and the Botanical Garden. It was a great time of fun and lesson.

Rules of blanket game: two teams on opposite end of the blanket. Each team will choose some members to be placed behind the blanket without the other team knowing. On the count of 3, the blanket is dropped and the participants are supposed to call out each other names. The fastest team wins the round.

We started off day 2 with an awesome worship service, where we heard a lesson about having vision entitled "Small Deeds - Big Mountain". Then we went out for a group photo by the beach

We had 2 full days of fun and spirituality. Today, we closed the retreat with an early morning devotional and singing. Then we had some free time. After which, we headed home to Singapore. :)

After arrival, we had lunch. Then, we proceed for an awesome lesson by Chee Peng on "Spiritual Friendship". Finishing that, the teens were separated to 6 groups. They prepared their groups' flags and groups' cheers.

We had so much fun. The games lasted until early evening where we were able to see the sunset by the beach.

This was our first night at the retreat. Everyone was tired after the games. So most of us relaxed by the beach, throwng rocks, and chasing each other into the water for fun. Later into the night, about 8pm, after dinner, we had another awesome lesson entitled "In the World but Not of the World". Danny and Peiling taught us about purity.
