The most recent Kuching mission trip was from 13-17 March.  3 brothers and 5 sisters from Singapore made the trip to join forces with the 7 disciples there.  So far, the Kuching fellowship has no real leader, and meet every Sunday to listen to messages that are preached over Skype.  Yet, they were the most fired up they've ever been and all of them took leave from work to join in the mission.

Throughout the week, we had 5 friends that came for bible talk, and 15 friends that came for the Sunday service.  In addition, we had a lot of bible studies that were set up (7), as we evangelized every day in the local campuses.  At the end of the week, we baptized  2 people: Ita and Joseph!

Ita was reached out to during the last trip in December.  A 19 year old woman, she's from the native Iban ethnic group, and has always had a deep fear of God.  Even though she lived far away from where the rest of the disciples stayed, and didn't have a car, she still made the commitment to join the disciples whenever they met.  Once she started studying the bible, she realized she needed to make changes in her life to get right with God.  She broke up with her unbelieving boyfriend, repented of her sins, and got baptized!  At her baptism, she shared that she would make a commitment to help all her friends to find out about the bible.

Joseph Teo was reached out to last September, and has led an interesting life.  Raised as an orphan, he was determined to improve his lot in life, and excelled in his studies.  Introduced to Christianity at a young age, nonetheless many years later, through his own reading of the bible, he realized about 10 years ago that he needed to confess and repent of all his sins.  Even after that, he continued to read different books, and decided that he needed to get baptized, even though his own church didn't teach this doctrine.  Through the years, he prayed that he would meet true disciples that shared his dream to obey God and build His kingdom.  When he finally met the disciples and started studying the bible, he was humble, and even though he knew many of the scriptures already, he realized that he had not obeyed God fully, and had not been forgiven of his sins at baptism.  He even asked the disciples, "what shall I do?"  He was thus baptized the correct way, and now dreams of doing a lot more for God.

The Kuching church now has 9 Christians, and we need your prayers to increase the harvest in this open city.
